Fabric-over-Foam gaskets offer high conductivity and shielding attenuation for both EMI/EMP applications. The Fabric-over-Foam profiles can be made in the flame retardant variety also. They offer high abrasion and shear resistance. Typical Fabric-over-Foam gasket applications include shielding or grounding of computer and telecommunications equipment seams and apertures. We can provide gasket materials of various shapes and sizes. Depending on the shape and Fabric-over-Foam materials, compression can be varied to allow tolerances depending on the mechanical system used. The wires used in the standard EMI/EMP shields in these gaskets are Monel, Tin coated Copper, Beryllium copper and Stainless steel. The standard elastomers are neoprene and silicone; however other elastomers can be used upon request.
